A great way to have more fun in the sun without getting all burned up is to pack the beach chair umbrellas when you are traveling to the shore on your next holiday. It will save you a lot of time healing if you are not used to the sun and will give you a nice place of shade when you want to relax.

Okay I live in a beach town and the big joke is watching all of the tourists on the beach and guessing which ones are going to be in agony that evening because they got too much sun. The beach umbrella is the one failsafe to keeping your skin from getting burned. I think a lot of people do not realize that when they are at the beach there actually is sun that can burn them severely.

Having a beach chair umbrella can give you protection from the sun and it is a smart thing to have. If you are traveling and do not want to pack a travel beach umbrella on a flight there are places that you can rent them from. Most beachside communities will have at least one if not many places you can rent an umbrella and beach chair from. If you cannot find a rental they are a small purchase for fewer than twenty dollars in most places. It is worth it to stay protected from the sun.

Many of the beach umbrellas made today are now compact in size. They are made to be smaller to carry with you so you can put them together when you arrive. They are easy to assemble and handy to have in the trunk of your car if you live near a beach for a spur of the moment type event.

Umbrellas for the beach are different than rain umbrellas. Besides the obvious that they are larger in size, they have a corkscrew bottom than can drill its way into the sand to stay. You will want an umbrella like this for ultimate use at the beach and not have to spend the entire time fighting your beach chair with umbrella to stay put.

Some beaches, such as resorts, already have umbrellas built into their area. If you are at one of these locations make sure you start your day near one and claim it. You may not think it is necessary but you will want to use it throughout the day. Set up your area with one or two umbrellas and mark your territory. If you are going to fall asleep in the sun make sure you are under an umbrella.

Beach chairs and umbrellas can also be handy other places as well. If you have a child who plays soccer or football is it great to have one while you are watching practice as many of these places do not have shade. Even for rain they can be handy with your folding chair and have some protection from the elements.

Even if you have portable beach umbrellas don’t let it replace sun block for you and your family. You will need to make sure that you are protecting your skin no matter how much sun exposure you get. If you are not regular beach goers make sure your sun block or tanning lotion has not expired as it will not work. Have fun in the sun and don’t forget beach chair umbrellas to make it a great day in the sun with no burn.

You will find that as you shop for beach umbrellas, there are different types, sizes and shapes. Which type you choose can tell you how much you are looking to spend with regard to your budget. Curious as to what types of beach umbrellas there are? Well so was I so I decided to dig a little deeper into the beach umbrella scene and see what I could find out. There are about five different types you can choose from. The first type is called UV protective beach umbrellas. These are made of fabrics that are designed to keep the sun’s rays away from you as you enjoy the feel of the sand beneath you. What better way for you to cool off after running around and taking a dip in the fresh salt water.

You can normally tilt brands such as the Rio beach umbrella any way you like so that you can keep the sun’s rays out. These are nice to have if you are going to spend all day at the beach. If you live on beachfront property then having one of these would be a huge plus. It would allow you to always be prepared for a day of relaxation and not risk skin damage. It would only make sense to invest in one so you can protect your skin at all costs and also enjoy relaxing days near the ocean.

Some of them are referred to as the clamp on beach umbrellas. These are just as they say they are. You clamp them onto your beach chair and voila, instant shade on a hot sunny day. They aren’t as big, but serve you well. People who prefer a little sun and wear sun screen go for these sort of portable beach umbrellas. Normally, you will find that they have eight panels. The third kind of beach umbrella are of the seven to eight feet variety. These are typically drilled into the sand via a beach umbrella auger. You take a drill and tap a hole into the sand about a foot deep and then drive the pole in the sand and they stand up giving you plenty of UV protection. This is considered the beach umbrella anchor and helps keep it stable. The higher up they the more protected you are going to be. They have a pointed end so that it sits in the sand and can be sturdy to the windy conditions.

The next kind is said to be called the canvas beach umbrellas. These are the ones you would really like if you are avid beach goers. They are made of canvas for durability that is made to last. Unlike others if it’s in a storm or so forth it probably wouldn’t last long, this one will however. Last, you will find the travel beach umbrellas. These are portable so that you can move them frequently. They do the job and they are easily stored. They aren’t too heavy so you can carry them around as you find the spot that is just right for you. You can even find them in clamp on types. They tend to come with a beach umbrella bag for easy and safe transport.
When trying to decide which type beach chair umbrella to get really hinges on your priorities for the beach. There are some that are designed for those who live by the beach. Others, like the travel beach umbrella is used for those who travel who might not go as often to the beach. You just have to decide if it’s right for you. With this in mind, consider how much you are going to go to the beach. Think about what you need. Beach umbrellas can get tricky though you wouldn’t’ think so. Just get what is right for you. Sometimes cost might keep you. With this in mind, you’ll be enjoying the beach in no time and will be having much fun too.
